Set in an
orchard, the club has a large circuit of track of both 5"
& 3 1/2" gauge incorporating a small tunnel aswell as a sizeable
Gauge 1 live steam layout incorporating 2 running lines and
asociated passing loops and steaming bays. Facilities include our own
clubhouse with
kitchen and workshop, powered steaming bays and a brick built
station & signal box. We have ample parking for those visiting
including disabled access and facilities.
Why not visit us and ride one of the trains on our Public
Open Days, we also welcome Birthday Parties as well as visiting
other events with our Portable track and Model Exhibits.
Membership
The club is always
ready to
welcome new members and is always
willing to provide advice and support on a variety of engineering
projects not just those limited to the rails.
Anyone
interested in the club or
its activities are encouraged to
contact us or visit on any running day or Thursday evening from around
7 pm.
On a Thursday evening the club will often lay on a
variety of
speakers talking about various aspects of the hobby as well
as other events such as video nights, locomotive nights, auctions, etc
during the winter. During the summer we try to make the most of the
weather and usually one or two members have loco's in steam.
